Supplies TO Iraq

Iraq's Medical Care System Destroyed

Medical infrastructure and services continue to deteriorate in Iraq. There are shortages of the most basic supplies, devastating families and communities. We urge citizens to demand that those responsible for the occupation comply with US Domestic Law and obligations under International Humanitarian Law, with special emphasis on Article 55 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.

The United States has failed to meet its obligations under international law. Basic medical supplies are urgently needed by hospitals and clinics in Iraq.

No More Victims delivered blood-pressure medications, blood bags, antibiotics, and other supplies to help meet the needs of civilians living in Fallujah. This demonstrates that the delivery of crucially needed medicines can be accomplished by communities in the US.

The failure of our government to comply with Article 55 has killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians and disgraced our country in the eyes of the entire world. It is time for civil society in the United States to respond to this emergency by sending medical supplies directly to communities in Iraq. It is our hope that independent groups will create programs to accomplish this objective.
