No More Victims

San Diego North

San Diego North is honored to advocate for eleven year-old Bariq Sufian Ibrahim. Bariq was injured during random shooting by an American military convoy just before the attack on Fallujah in 2004. Shrapnel lodged in Bariq's neck near his spine causing a fistula to form and impede blood flow to his brain. This life-threatening condition has been corrected by surgery in the United Arab Emirates.

San Diego North Chapter is a project of the Triple L's, a group of politically progressive women in the San Diego area. Our advocacy project is spearheaded by Loretta Mathieu, Susan Robertson, and Diane Levy. We have begun fundraising to pay for medical and living expenses for Bariq and his family. By helping Bariq, we hope to provide a spark of hope and positive force among the overwhelming tidal wave of destruction and sorrow this unnecessary war has wrought.
