Age 3- You're still mesmerized by people in costumes prentending to be loveable television characters. Age 5- You learned the alphabet in kindergarten. Age 7- You scored your first goal on the local AYSO soccer team. Age 11- Enter Jumior High, where everyone's worried about changing in public locker rooms. Age 15- A bomb leaves you blinded and your legs blown to pieces. Disturbing as the inhumanity of this chaos is, this is a daily phenomenon in Iraq. Rifaat Khalid Al- Karbi, a mere teenager in war ravaged Iraq, has already experienced the most barbaric side of human nature. Our first goal is to fundraise to buy him an electric wheelchair. Hopefully, we’ll see to it that Rifaat gets the attention he more than deserves by publicizing about his condition, how, and why it came about.
