Students at the College of Alameda are helping 5 year old Shaymaa who was paralyzed by a U.S. missile strike in Fallujah at the age of three months old. Thirty members of her family were killed in the attack, including her dad.

The students' goals are to wake up all communities in the East Bay, to involve the Oakland/Alameda youth, and to teach individuals that terrorism brings more terrorism - we cannot bring peace by the use of guns. They hope this will set an example in Oakland as well where violence is part of the day-to-day life.
